Venezuelan singer-songwriter and three-time Latin Grammy nominee DANNY OCEAN premiered his new medley of “Alma Llanera” and “Venezuela,” two iconic songs from the Venezuelan musical repertoire and symbols deeply tied to the country’s cultural identity.
The release comes one day after his standout performance at the 2025 Nobel Peace Prize Ceremony, where the artist moved international audiences by bringing this Venezuelan classic to one of the world’s most prestigious stages.
“Thank you, Madre (María Corina Machado), for inviting me and giving me this moment. I have no words. It is the greatest honor to sing a piece of two songs so symbolic for our country at a Nobel Peace Prize ceremony. Thank you for your courage, and thank you for giving us and restoring the hope that a free and fearless Venezuela can indeed exist. Congratulations on this great recognition. Thank you to the Nobel Prize for having me, huge honor. For those who are no longer with us, for those who are still fighting, and for those yet to come,” expressed Danny Ocean.
His intimate and elegant performance highlighted by his distinctive raspy tone and melancholic vocal inflections captured the nostalgia and emotional connection of millions of Venezuelans both at home and across the global diaspora.
Composed by Rafael Bolívar Coronado and Pedro Elías Gutiérrez, “Alma Llanera” is widely regarded as a popular anthem of Venezuela. With this rendition, Danny Ocean pays tribute to his roots and continues to amplify his message of love, peace, and pride for his homeland.
“Alma Llanera / Venezuela Live from Nobel Peace Prize 2025” is now available on all digital streaming platforms.
